Previous to Specification Sales, Haws had a two man manufacturer’s representative agency that operated on their behalf in Southern and Northern California.

In 1966 Specification Sales was formed to represent the Haws Drinking Faucet Company. The agency was located in a small office on Figueroa in Downtown Los Angeles.

In 1968 due to Specification Sales rapid growth, the company moved to a larger location on Bandini Boulevard in the City of Commerce. In 1985 the management team, consisting of David Hutchins, Kelly Gilfoy and Jim Watson, were consistently growing market share on behalf of all their represented manufacturers.

In 1991 David Hutchins became operating principle and President of Specification Sales, Inc. Under this management team’s direction the company has more then doubled in employees, tripled in gross sales and has purchased a 28,000 square foot facility in Ontario, California for the company to run its base operation from.

Specification Sales continues to enjoy strong growth and strives to be a company that makes the plumbing distribution channel better by educating the market and being a responsible channel partner.
