Previous to Specification Sales, Haws had a two man manufacturer’s representative agency that operated on their behalf in Southern and Northern California.

Around 1964 the owner passed away leaving no one to promote the Haws Drinking Faucet Company in Southern California. Don Delaney was hired to represent the Haws line in 1966 and a new manufacturer’s representative agency, located in a small office on Figueroa, was formed.

Don Delany was able to hire Pat Kelly to the sales force in 1967; with this addition the new sales team continued to grow market share on behalf of the Haws Company. It wasn’t long before the duo began to catch the eye of other manufacturers and the agency was soon hired to represent their companies in Southern California.

In 1968 due to the agency’s rapid growth, they were able to move to a new and larger location on Bandini Boulevard in the City of Commerce. In 1970 Don Delaney and Pat Kelly ended their partnership. Don went on to form a new agency in Southern California and Pat took over 100% of Specification Sales.

In 1982 Pat Kelly left control of the company to Bill Noel to run as General Manager so that Pat could pursue other ventures. Bill Noel was General Manager of Specification Sales until 1991. During Bill’s tenure, Specification Sales continued to operate from the Bandini location. By the end of Bill’s tenure David Hutchins, Kelly Gilfoy and Mark Campbell made up the outside sales team.

After Bill’s departure David Hutchins became operating principle and President of Specification Sales. Under David’s direction the company has more then doubled in employee’s, tripled in gross sales and now owns their 23,000 square foot location in Ontario, California. Specification Sales continues to enjoy strong growth and strives to be a company that makes the plumbing distribution channel better by educating the market and being a responsible channel partner.
